Yes, even beginners can walk a half marathon!
The Delaware & Lehigh Heritage Half Marathon–in its seventh year–is a 5-star, walker-friendly event! And with 4.5 hours to complete the 13.1 mile course, it is a great half marathon for beginners and first timers. The half is on November 5th so there’s four months to train if you start at the beginning of July!
Here’s your training plan. 2017 D&L beginner 18 wks This plan is for anyone who is just starting to walk. It begins with just 10 minutes a day. If you are already walking and can do 30 minutes at least four days a week, you can start training in mid-July. More plans will be posted soon.
