Share Your Walking Successes!
I want everyone to experience the joys of walking…your story can help! What has walking done for you?
Please tell me about your walking successes (even the little things) so I can share them with others. I’ve found that so many people are inspired to make healthy changes when they read stories about others, like them, who have achieved success. It boosts their motivation and belief that they can do it, too! Please help me to inspire others by sharing your story (I promise that I will notify you before using it.)

I bought your book when Harleysville Book Store started the walking challenge. I
had wanted to get back into walking. I use to walk 4 miles a day with my dog and then I had kids. I still walked sometimes, but not enough. My kids are currently 6 & 8 years old. I followed a lot of things from your book and walked on my treadmill. I also used the app “Lose It”. I lost 20 to 25 pounds. Now I just walk 3 to 4 days per week on the treadmill for 30 to 35 minutes. I try to watch what I eat, but I love eating. I am usually good during the week, but I eat whatever I want on the weekends. That is my story. I am 42 years old.
Hi Beth,
Thanks for checking in and sharing your story! Congratulations on your success! It is definitely tougher to fit exercise in when you have kids. I’m in the same boat–12- and 5-year-old. I sneak walking in a lot–while watching my son’s baseball games or when my daughter is at gymnastics. I’ll be posting more about that during my Spring Walking Challenge https://mywalkingcoach.wpengine.com/spring-walking-challenge/. Hope you’ll join me!
Happy Walking!
